This is a good general guide for the whole north-eastern coast of the North Island, from Cape Kidnappers at the southern end of Hawke Bay right up to North Cape at the top of the island. The Coastal Cruising Handbook has been reprinted many times since it was first published in 1972. This ninth edition contains a number of full colour photgraphs and updated information for all marinas. There are detailed notes for all anchorages and many sketch charts.
