Safety At Sea Survival Clinic

storm_1.JPG

Want to know what it is like to be at sea in 70kn winds, 80 kn winds, more? What it is like to be in a raft or to watch your boat sail off into the night while you tread water?

For this special Safety at Sea Survival Clinic we have assembled a panel of experienced sailors (over 1,000,000 sea miles) who will tell you their stories.

The best way to learn is experience, but these are things no one wants to experience, so the next best thing is to learn from someone else's experience.

After the break we will open the floor to questions.

This clinic was requested by the R.A.Y.C. and coincides with their weekend safety courses (required for the longer races). It was felt that it would be advantageous to supplement the "theory" with some "practical".

Monday November 19th at R.A.Y.C. on Orakei Drive. bar will open at 5.30p.m., the presentation will begin at 6.30p.m. $20 at the door (another $5 if you want pizza).
