Ocean rescues: 13 June - Two people on board a disabled yacht called 'Scot Free' in gale-force conditions are currently awaiting rescue 740km northeast of North Cape. The boat's EPIRB was activated late yesterday, and the boat was located by an Orion aircraft this morning. More

Light breeze frustrates: 13 June- Auckland fog delayed more than air traffic yesterday. The third race in the Ponsonby Cruising Club's winter series was delayed as breeze cleared up the last remnants of city fog and the predicted south easterly battled with a rogue sou'wester. More

Steak and cheese: 13 June - The second to last Montana Bakery Winter Series fleet race was sailed in very light conditions. Line Honours went to Smokey who also won on handicap and took away a box of steak and cheese pies for her effort. Aparangi and Wildwood took 2nd and 3rd place. More

T30 progress report: 11 June - The deck for Scott Fickling's new T30 came out of the mould yesterday, and its interior is now underway. There are now four confirmed orders from Auckland owners, and Tboats say there are a number of potential buyers waiting to see how the new class goes before they commit to an order. More

Suva placings revealed: 11 June YNZ - Final placings are being revealed in the Auckland to Suva race. While maxi yacht KONICA MINOLTA took line honours and over a day off the race record, the stand-out performer so far on corrected time is Ray Haslar’s 35-foot JIVE TALKIN. More

Light winds favour race fleet: 9 June YNZ - The Ross 40 Revs finished today, Thursday, at 1:40 pm in light winds. The fleet still at sea is inching its way very slowly to the finish in Suva harbour. With just three boats in part the Line winner Konica Minolta is still the boat to beat for corrected time honours. More

Kiwis head for A-class worlds: 9 June - Four Kiwi sailors are leaving today to compete in the A-Class worlds at Sanguinet in France. They will be competing in a fleet of 100 boats representing 10 countries representing some of the best cat sailors in the world. More

9/6 - The Young 88 Smokey finally made it back into the water last week after an unplanned 3 months in the haulout yard. Smokey was taken out during the Presidents Cup race in February in a simple Port - Starboard incident. More
